The Prairie - on June 18th, 2011

Some poor trees didn't survive!

Remember, we live on the "prairie"!  This is not a typical prairie scene.... in fact, this is farm land!!  And all we could see for miles, was water........

 This guy had lost his road altogether.  He was trying to dig a makeshift culvert just to get the water flowing. Seems water doesn't move too fast on flat land!

At the grocery store.....almost the whole parking lot was under water!

For the first time ever, the Rodeo had to be cancelled. These are the Rodeo Grounds.

Poor birds think they should fly back south again!
